Nina Van Volkinburg, also known as Dr. Nina, is the founder and artist behind Ida&Ink.

She is an Austrian-American artist and writer based in West London. Her artistic style is joyful and whimsical, with color and anthropomorphic humor splashed across every canvas. She approaches her work with childlike wonder and co-creates the meaning of each piece by pairing it with a story that tickles the heart. As a previous founder of a fashion upcycling startup, the principle of ‘the more you know, the more you care’ remains a central message in her work.

Passionate about supporting creative talent, she is a Course Leader at the University of the Arts London and has previously been featured in Vogue, Elle, BBC News, The Guardian, and Forbes, among others, for her contributions to fashion business and sustainability.

Next to her art, she regularly speaks with young people about finding one’s purpose and navigating creative industries.
